You will not be permitted to add new athletes to the meet after Sept 24.
Sanction: Requested for the following areas: Rhode Island, New York (city & state), Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. Students who are official members of their respective high school teams are eligible. All schools must be members of their state associations.
Meet Rules: Guidelines provided by the National Federation of State High School Associations rules book including, but not limited to, the following:
Rule 9, Section 6, Article 4…In relay races and cross country competition, each team member shall wear the same color and design of school uniform (jersey and shorts). Any visible shirt worn under the jersey and other visible apparel worn under the shorts must be unadorned and of a single (same, solid) color. Visible items worn under both the jersey and the shorts do not have to be the same color. If worn by more than one team member (two or more), that apparel must be the same color, but not necessarily the same length. PENALTY: For an illegal uniform the competitor is disqualified from the event.
Rule 4, Section 5, Article 1…Unsportsmanlike conduct is behavior which is unethical or dishonorable. It includes, but is not limited to, disrespectfully addressing an official, any flagrant behavior, intentional contact, taunting, criticizing an opponent or an official, or the use of profanity. This shall apply to all coaches, contestants and other team/school personnel. PENALTY: Disqualification from that event and further competition in the meet. Disqualification of a coach or other school personnel shall be from further involvement in the meet.
Timing System: Timing will be done using the B-Tag Timing system.
