Lynx System Developers: From Finish Lynx Archives: In November 1992, The gang of four emerges:
The first four Lynx customers in the world were: Tom. Jennings, Ken Platt, Brian Springer. and
University of Arizona (their first collegiate customer). Now the system has world wide coverage on
all continents and all 50 states.
Champion Chip Systems: In 1995, Rotterdam Marathon was the first international marathon to fully use the ChampionChip-system.
Platt purchased their first Champion Chip System in 1996. Acording to Platt Archives: "We drove up to Boston in April of 1996
and picked up our first ChampionChip system from Burns Computer System ; The system had been used
to time the 1996 Boston Marathon. We needed to purchase a trailer in order to transport all of
the initial equipment as the mats were extremely heavy and the yellow boxes required two people to
move."
