TRACK & FIELD INVITATIONAL

The Woodrow Wilson Track & Field Invitational will take place at the Middletown High School track, Thursday, May 24th. (School address: 200 LaRosa Lane; for GPS directions, please use 680 Newfield Street, Middletown)The track is located behind the school. Because of construction, athletes should enter the south gate of the track. More information will follow as the construction progresses.
FACILITY: Middletown High School Track: All running surfaces, long jump and high jump area are rubber composition, 1/4" spikes or shorter are allowed. Shot and discus will be thrown from regulation concrete circles - no spikes allowed. No one will be allowed in the school building.
SCORING: Team scores will be calculated: points to be awarded first through eighth place as follows:
10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
There will be automatic timing by Platt timing systems. Coaches will have to
input their athletes' times and distances on the website. Instructions will follow.
AWARDS: Individual ribbons will be awarded to the first 8 places in each event. Team
awards will be awarded to the first and second place boys' and girls' teams.
AUTHORITY: National Federation rules will apply.
ORDER OF EVENTS: All events will be run in heats in the following order:
For all running events, girls will compete first, followed by boys
3:30PM Shot boys (8 lb) followed by girls (6 lb)
Discus 1 kg. (girls), followed by Discus 1kg (boys)
Long Jump (boys and girls)
High Jump (girls -3'6" followed by boys 4'0)
4:00PM 4x100m relay
