Notes: Kate Kuhn Woodbury, M.D. was an anesthesiologist at Saint Francis and passed away in 1996 at the age of 35 from ovarian cancer.

The Fun Run was established by a group of Kates friends and colleagues to recognize her love of running and to raise funds for cancer related causes. The run is sponsored by the Anesthesiology Department at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

The 4th Annual Kate's Fun Run is being held to benefit Clinical Cancer Research at Saint Francis Hospital. Kate was an anesthesiologist at Saint Francis Hospital who passed away thirteen years ago, at the age of 35, from ovarian cancer. In addition to being a compassionate physician, Kate was a loving and devoted daughter, mother and wife, an avid runner and simply a person who truly embodied the spirit of life.

Event Description:
The Fun Run consists of two loops (3.4 miles) through the scenic (and flat!) Elizabeth Park. T-shirts will be given out to all participants. Walkers are also welcome! Gift certificate prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers- both men and women.
