Notes:	South Windsor Labor Day Purple Heart Half Marathon Road Race This Half marathon & 5K Labor Day Road Race are run to recognize and honor all those who have served and are serving our great nation. Join us to celebrate and to show support for the Veterans and active service members. NOTE: Sullivan Ave and Main St will be closed to traffic at 7:45 am. Please use Governors and Strong from Rte 5. Then travel North on Main Street to the Board of Education Building. Both the Half marathon and 5K are timed using the Chip System. Schedule of Events: Sunday Sept 1 - 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Packet Pickup and Registration at 1737 Main Street S Windsor CT Monday Sept 2 - 6:15 AM to 7:30 AM Packet Pickup and Registration at 1737 Main Street Board of Education Building - S Windsor, CT Race Day Registration is Limited - Please pre-register online by midnight on Sept 1 ************************************************ 5K Start Time: 7:50 am Half-Marathon Start Time: 8:00 am Awards 5K: 8:50 am Awards Half Marathon: 10:20 am ***************************************************** Half Marathon Course Limits: Permit valid for 3 HOURS 15 MINUTES ******************************************************* Half-Marathon Start Time: 8:00 am 5K Start Time: 7:50 am ***************************************************** Half Marathon Course Limits: Permit valid for 3 HOURS 15 MINUTES ******************************************************* ********* RULES ********************* 1. Runner must stay to the left hand side of Main Street. 2. Runners must cross the timing mats at the N King Island TurnAround Location. 3. Runners must cross the timing mats at the Board of Education Sidewalk TurnAround Location. 4. Times will be recorded at the 3.25 miles (Turn #1 - N King), 6.55 miles (Turn # 2), 9.8 miles (Turn # 3 - N King), and Finish 5. Numbers must be clearly visible and secured with four pins to the front of the jersey. 6 Course Time Limit: 3 HOURS 15 MINUTES Awards Half Marathon 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over Medals will be provided to all finishers of the Half-Marathon Awards 5K Top 5 Men, Top 5 Women ******************************************************* T-Shirts to all who register by August 20, 2019 Hand-Outs from our generous sponsors at Bakery on Main, Banner Water, and others *************************************************** Proceeds in part will be donated to Wounded Veteran Projects and other Veteran Charities as well as the the Hartford Evergreen #88 Scholarship Fund.
